24 Always-on messaging

1

familiar conversation

Instead of asking every driver to learn another charger interface, EV Charger Bot gives them one guided journey from discovery to support.

A better driver experience

Remove friction from every charge.

Public charging can involve unfamiliar apps, unclear prices and support numbers that are hard to find. Bring the journey into a channel drivers already understand.

01

Find the right charger

Guide drivers towards compatible, available charging locations with clear connector, speed and access information.

02

Explain price before payment

Present tariffs and the next step in plain language before handing the driver into a secure payment flow.

03

Stay with the session

Keep charging status, cost and support in the same conversation instead of sending users between separate tools.

04

Escalate with context

When human help is needed, pass the conversation and useful session details to the operator’s support workflow.

How it works

From message to charging in three steps.

The experience is deliberately simple for drivers and designed to connect with the operator systems already behind the charger.

⌁

Start a conversation

The driver scans a charger QR code, follows a link or messages the bot directly through a supported channel.

⚡

Choose and confirm

The bot identifies the location or charger, explains availability and pricing, then guides the secure payment step.

✓

Charge with confidence

The same conversation provides session updates, stopping guidance, receipts and a route into support when needed.

Built for charge-point operators

A smarter front door to your charging network.

EV Charger Bot is the conversational layer between the driver and the systems that operate charging, payment and support.

01

Reduce avoidable support journeys
Answer routine questions and guide common recovery steps before escalation.

02

Keep your operator brand visible
Offer a branded journey instead of sending drivers through another generic network app.

03

Connect, don’t replace
Designed as an integration layer around existing charger, payment and customer-support systems.

04

Learn from conversations
Use anonymised demand and issue patterns to improve charger information and support content.

Designed around UK expectations

Make important information easier to reach.

The UK Public Charge Point Regulations focus on a consistent consumer experience. Messaging can support the way operators present information and route drivers to assistance.

Pricing clarity

Show the tariff early

Explain the pence-per-kWh price and any important payment information before the driver continues.

Real-time assistance

Make help easy to find

Resolve routine issues conversationally and provide a clear hand-off to the operator’s staffed support route.

Open information

Use accurate charger data

Surface connector, availability, location and access information from the operator’s approved data sources.

EV Charger Bot can support an operator’s customer journey, but it does not by itself guarantee regulatory compliance. Final implementation must be assessed against the operator’s chargers, payment methods, support process and legal obligations.

Frequently asked questions

The practical questions.

Is EV Charger Bot another charging app?

No. The proposition is a messaging-first journey that works through channels drivers may already use. The final implementation can complement an operator’s app, web payment, RFID and contactless options.

Can it start and stop a charging session?

That depends on the operator’s charge-point platform and available integration. EV Charger Bot is designed to guide those actions and connect to approved operator systems where the required interfaces are available.

Does it process card details inside the chat?

The recommended journey sends the driver into the operator’s secure, PCI-aligned payment flow and returns useful confirmation to the conversation. Card details should not be collected as ordinary chat messages.

Which charging networks can it support?

The system is intended to be hardware and operator flexible. Compatibility is confirmed during discovery by reviewing the existing charge-point management, payment, availability and support interfaces.

Can a person take over the conversation?

Yes. A production setup should define escalation rules so that drivers can reach the operator’s real-time assistance channel with useful session context when automation is not enough.
